Stand Firm, Man of God Retreat (IN) Nov 5-7

Over the last year, I’ve been privileged to watch men from all over the country awaken to some powerful truths about God’s will for their lives. I’ve seen broken, messed up men rise up to a new life. I’ve struggled recently believing God would even consider me worthy of this opportunity. It’s been incredible. I’ve seen drug dealers, porn addicts, adulterers, addicts of about everything you can imagine, and even church leaders, walk in messed up, but walk away alive. Praise God! They were men who had fallen in almost every way you could imagine, but who were now living within God’s wonderful purposes for their lives. It’s been astonishing.

The awakening is exciting, but frankly, it’s just the beginning. There is so much more for all of us.

“For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”

Colossians 1:13-14 NLT

God didn’t call us into a grace where sin continues to weigh us down. He brought us from darkness into light and gave us a freedom that goes beyond forgiveness of sin; it’s a freedom from even the temptation of those sins that have so easily entangled us. In the midst of a broken and dark world, we’ve been “transferred into the Kingdom of His dear Son”. This place in the Kingdom allows us to rise above the struggles and temptations that have brought us so much death.

“You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News.”

Colossians 1:21-23 NLT

You’ve been awakened. Praise Father! Now, let’s “continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it.” “We live by faith, not by sight,” (II Co. 5:7) right? How will we stand firm and walk above the monsters of our past? How will we continue living in the freedom we’ve been given if we can’t stay standing up?

God calls you above the temptations, guilt, fear, worry, and burdens that once dragged you down. He calls you to a life of faith where you can Stand Firm. November 5-7 at Five Stones Camp will be your chance to “Rise Up and Stand Firm.” (Psalm 20:8 NIV). We hope to see you there!
