Ministers of Reconciliation

Lisa and I are frequently contacted by people all over the country asking how they can help our work. We receive a lot of questions about how to help struggling couples to which many of our readers and supporters are connected. I love hearing these questions, because I realize how much all of you are aware of the serious problems around you and how much you really desire to help. Praise God!

The more intense the spiritual warfare rages across the country for the hearts of so many husbands and wives, the more we realize how important it is to train other men and women of God to minister to those who are hurting and separated from His will. Satan and his armies are fiercely attacking homes everywhere, and the needed workers are few. This reality has caused us to shift directions and focus as God has been leading and moving us.

We’ve known this was needed, but God hadn’t opened up the necessary doors to make it happen. However, over the last several months, we’ve had some great opportunities to train the church in numerous parts of the country on how to deal with these problems and avoid them in the future.  He’s now given us so many opportunities to equip the church to deal with the Hell that has come into our midst.

The prince of this dark world is amongst us. He’s in and all around God’s people. He’s dressed up as our Great Shepherd, but I can tell you from personal experience; he’s a liar and a wolf. There was a time where I feared  his attacks and felt defenseless in my foolish sin, but God has been faithful through His Holy Spirit to remind me of the sacrificial and overcoming love of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

It’s this same love that we share with couples who are lost all over the country. It’s this same love that we teach others to share. It’s not a quiet or timid love. It’s a love that speaks truth. It’s a love that fights. It’s a love that perseveres and hopes. It’s a love that is not selfish. Again, it’s the love we’ve already received through Jesus Christ.

For those of you who are aching to help, I challenge you to read through Paul’s second letter to the church at Corinth in II Corinthians 5:11-21. In this letter, Paul takes the challenge to the church by reminding them that “Christ’s love controls” them. As a result, they are his ambassadors to a lost world and that they must no longer view each other as humans, but as spirits. Why? Because if they viewed one another as humans, they become enemies. They turn on each other and miss the real battle going on in the Heavens where they have become separated from God. This separation requires reconciliation and it can only come through Jesus Christ. This reconciliation of which Paul talks about is the very grace that has brought us back into a relationship with the Holy Trinity. We are Theirs because we’ve been reconciled through the blood of Jesus.

As a result, we are now ministers of this reconciliation to so many dying souls. We are Christ’s hands and feet.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Whether we’re aware of it or not, we’re all surrounded by broken homes and the work involved is intense. If you’d like to learn more about the battles happening all around you and how to become equipped to fight them, we’d love to help. To learn more about how to serve and what you can do, email or call us. We’d be happy to teach you, your small group, or your church how to effectively defeat our adversary and build godly homes. The Kingdom needs more disciples who are willing to serve. Rise up. The time is now.
